 The maiden Presidential Media Chat of President Muhammadu Buhari is currently on in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory.

President Buhari has declared that he may be forced to ban hijab worn by Muslim women.

Speaking during the Presidential media chat, Buhari said, “When I say BokoHaram had been defeated technically, we have weakened capacity for conventional attacks. Banning Hijab is not an option, but if these attacks continues, Hijab has to be banned.”

It would be recalled that most of the bombings in the country are carried out by bombers clad in the Muslim traditional covering called Hijab.
