All The Pictures From David Beckham’s UNICEF charity ‘Match for Children
Manchester United legend David Beckham rolled back the years in front of 75,000 fans at Old Trafford.
The former Manchester United and England superstar joined by famous friends came together to play a friendly encounter to mark his 10th anniversary of being an ambassador for international kids’ charity UNICEF.
And in a glimpse of the future when he temporarily left the field 15 minutes from the end, another Beckham No7 took his place, 16-year-old son Brooklyn.
Paul Scholes opened the scoring for Great Britain and Ireland XI, heading in David Beckham’s right-wing cross, then David Beckham and Scholes linked up for Great Britain’s second goal too, helping to tee up former Liverpool striker Michael Owen for the goal.
Dwight Yorke pulled one back for the Rest of the World XI, finishing well after a pass from Landon Donovan and then Owen added a third goal for Sir Alex Ferguson’s Great Britain & Ireland following Raimond van der Gouw’s error
It wasn’t all fun and games as both Zinedine Zidane and Patrick Vieira pulled out of the match following Friday night’s Paris terror attack however the two teams, as well as the managers and officials, held a minute’s silence for the 127 people killed in Paris
