An aide to a former governor of Gombe State, Senator Muhammad Danjuma Goje, has distanced his principal from the crisis rocking the state chapter of the APC.
The chairman of the caretaker committee of the APC in the state, Captain Bala Jibrin, had accused Sen. Goje of being responsible for the crisis rocking the state chapter of the party.
Goje’s former Commissioner of Information, Alhaji Kabiru Usman Kukandaka, said on the contrary, Captain Jibril was the obstacle to resolving the crisis in the party.
Alhaji Kukandaka told Daily Trust in Gombe yesterday that since his appointment, the caretaker chairman had been dissipating energy blaming others, instead of finding a lasting solution to the party’s problems, which started since April 2015.
“Sen. Danjuma Goje and his teeming supporters would never cooperate with those who committed political sin during the 2015 general elections, until they are punished accordingly, and they in turn tender apology for the interest of the general public,” Kukandaka added.
