West Brom Manager, Tony Pulis Claims Tottenham Transfer Saga Made Saido Berahino “Overweight”

 

Saido Berahino was left overweight by the ongoing Tottenham transfer saga in the summer, says West Brom boss Tony Pulis.
But the Baggies manager praised the striker – who scored the winner against Sunderland last weekend – for how he has regained his focus.
“He’s done well but he’s still not as fit as he was last year. He’s carrying a little bit of weight and we have to work hard to get that off him.

“I think it was down to the fact that he wasn’t playing and was in limbo for quite a few weeks, but he’s got his head down in the last couple of weeks and we’ve got him back on board.”
