LADIES!! That Skin Regimen Can Cause You Skin Cancer
Tawny Willoughby, 27, was diagnosed with skin cancer at the age of 21 after excessively using tanning beds as a teenager.
Willoughby confessed to using tanning beds four times a week because ‘her tans faded too fast’.
Tanning beds are electric beds used to tone the skin a shade darker than its original shade.
These tanning beds are mechanical and use electricity to ‘burn’ the skin to achieve the tanned glow. So it’s basically like burning or cooking your skin in a microwave till it gets the tan you want.

Diagnosed with skin cancer at the age of 21, Tawny has had basal cell carcinoma treatment, five times, and squamous cell carcinoma, once. She always has a skin cancer removed at each checkup which she makes with her dermatologist every six to twelve months.
The price of beauty is presently too expensive for her as her skin is anything but what she wants. She was born with a beautiful skin and decided she didn’t like it and wanted it altered. The cost of the alteration was skin cancer.
She took to her Facebook to share graphic images of the painful blisters and scars on her skin in an effort to dissuade people from remaking her mistakes.
Tawny Willoughby used a tanning bed 4 to 5 times a week in high school. Now, at 27, she's dealing with painful skin-cancer treatments. This selfie of Willoughby, posted last month to Facebook, has been shared almost 50,000 times.

Her post read ‘If anyone needs a little motivation to not lay in the tanning bed and the sun, here you go! This is what skin cancer treatment can look like. Wear sunscreen and get a spray tan. You only get one skin and you should take care of it. Learn from other people’s mistakes. Don’t let tanning prevent you from seeing your children grow up. That’s my biggest fear now that I have a two-year-old little boy of my own. Skin cancer is not about moles, only one of mine has been a mole. Get any suspicious new and growing spot checked out. Anything that doesn’t heal, possibly bleeds on and off and crusts. The sooner you find it the less likely it will leave a disfiguring scar or grow deep enough to metastasize. Melanoma kills, Non-Melanoma disfigures (and can kill also)’
She ended with, DON’T BE A STATISTIC.

With Her Son. She’s afraid she wont live long enough to watch him grow.
Although the images were taken down by Facebook for being too graphic, she had over 50,000 shares as well as extols from fans on her courage for sharing her story.

In the quest for beautiful skin, women have taken to all sorts of methodology to look beautiful and flawless. From bleached skin to tanning beds, no stone has been left unturned in the search for looking good. Why?!
Are women, particularly those who go the extra-mile to bleach or tan their skin, suffering from an acute case of skin-inferiority complex? Don’t they feel good enough in their natural skin? And if it’s done to attract the male attention, should it be done at the expense of the woman’s health?
