Police in Lagos have recovered the body of Dr. Allwell Orji,
who jumped into the lagoon at the Third Mainland bridge last Sunday.
The General Manager of Lagos State Emergency Management
Agency (LASEMA), Adesina Tiamiyu who announced it today said the body was
discovered by the marine police around 4pm on Wednesday evening.
"The body was identified by some of his family
including the driver in the presence of the Commissioner of Police, Lagos
State, Mr Fatai Owoseni," Tiamiyu said in a statement emailed to
journalists.
He said the body will be handed over to the family while
investigation on the incident continues.
The Lagos CP however said that the body was found intact in
the lagoon around CMS area of the state.
Following the recovery, the LASEMA boss declared the search
rescue closed.
