The reign of Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, the 51st Ooni of Ife, officially begun on Monday after he was given the staff of office in a ceremony in Ile-Ife.

Oba Ogunwusi, who replaced the late Oba Sijuwade, had in the previous weeks completed all the rites, and was coronated on the 23rd of November.

Ogunwusi is a real estate mogul, and he reportedly modelled the palace where he’d be receiving guests to his taste.
