Blanc: Ibrahimovic And Cavani Can Coexist
Laurent Blanc, PSG manager has praised
the partnership between duo Ibrahimovic and Cavani, following their
performance against Saint Etienne.
Ibrahimovic and Cavani both got on the score sheet and they both supplied assists in the 4-1 win at Parc des Princes.
Both have now taken their tally to seven goals so far and Blanc feels this is further proof that they can both work together.
“Everybody has now seen that our attackers are complementary when they have the desire to play together,” Blanc told reporters at a press conference.
“They have different characteristics and qualities, but what matters most is their presence on the pitch, regardless of their statistics. They did very well.”
Angel Di Maria did not add his name to the scoresheet in Paris, but was involved in the creation of many of PSG’s dangerous moments.
“Di Maria put in a great performance in the second half as well,” he added.
“We have some great players and he is one of them. We have to be patient with him.”
