Serena Williams has guest edited Wired’s Trailblazers issue, which celebrated “trailblazers” in racial and gender discrimination issues.

Among those being celebrated included Black Lives Matter founder DeRay Mckesson, and mixed martial arts champion, Ronda Rousey.

Serena wrote in part:
“Here’s one of the affirmations I gave myself when I was younger: “I will work in Africa and help kids and help people.” And I did. I opened a school in Kenya in 2008 and a second in 2010. Now, sometimes in Africa they send only the boys to school. So we had a strict rule that our schools had to be at least 40 percent girls. It was impossible to get 50-50 boys to girls, and we really had to fight for 60-40. But we got it.”
“But we need to see more women and people of different colors and nationalities in tech. That’s the reason I wanted to do this issue with WIRED—I’m a black woman, and I am in a sport that wasn’t really meant for black people. And while tennis isn’t really about the future, Silicon Valley sure is.”

Paris St. Germain’s Thiago Silva has revealed he’d like for the club to buy Real Madrid’s Cristiano Ronaldo.

Both players matched up last week during their Champions League clash, and Thiago Silva revealed he’d love to play with Ronaldo.

“Of course,” Silva told L’Equipe’s Saturday supplement Sport et Style. “It’s better to play with him than against him.
“I hope that his agent will find a solution with our president so that he might come to play here.
“Paris Saint-Germain are the team of the moment.”
Ronaldo has been constantly linked with a move away from Spain, though he has said he’d love to retire at the Santiago Bernabeu.

“I love this player,” the Brazilian defender said.
“He’s had an incredible career. He did some great things at Manchester United.
“He also broke the goals record at Real Madrid. He’s been good for the world of football.”

Olamide Working On 5th Studio Album

Olamide set to drop 5th album

Olamide is widely regarded as one of the most consistent artistes in Nigeria, and he’s showing why as he prepares to release his 5th studio album.

The yet to be titled album will be his 5th in 5 years, following 2011’s Rapsodi, 2012’s YBNL, 2013’s Baddest Guy Ever Liveth, and 2014’s Street OT.

Olamide has had a stellar 2015 so far with a plethora of hit singles, and his album is sure to be nothing less.

Shade? Manuel Pellegrini Says Chelsea Can Still Win EPL

In a rare show of sympathy, Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini has offered support to embattled Chelsea manager, Jose Mourinho.
The two haven’t always been best of buddies, but Pellegrini has said he is hopeful Mourinho can turn around what has been a horrible season.

The Blues sit in 16th place in the Barclays Premier League with 5 losses in their first 10 games, with sack rumors already flying around Jose Mourinho’s head.

“All managers have a moment in their career, in their season, a bad moment. It’s normal,” the City boss said on Friday.
“So I hope, because he’s a very important manager, that he will arrange his team. I think he’s already demonstrated what he can do. He’s the champion of the Premier League this year.”
Pellegrini also added that Chelsea could still win the league or at least be near the top when the season ends.

“Of course, I always say mathematics show when you can do it and when you can’t. We have enough points to play for,” he added.
“I am sure they will be involved in the title or for the first position. I am sure they will continue to be a very strong team. They are not in their best moment but I am sure they will improve.”

Orente Ayaba was probably one of my best at the #HeinekenLFDW2015 yesterday.
After showcasing at New York Fashion week, we were almost too certain her Spring/ Summer 2016 collection will be exceptional and it did live up to expectations.
Colorful pieces with large geometric prints made this collection fun and fashionable… We certainly can’t wait to see our favorite celebrities rocking pieces from this collection.
