Peter Okoye Says P-Square Can Still Make Music Together

P-Square can still make music together – Peter Okoye has revealed his desire to still make music with his brother, Paul Okoye.

The duo had fallen out over Peter’s dissatisfaction with their elder brother, Jude Okoye as their manager, with Paul moving on to form his Rude Boy Records.

In a new Instagram post, Peter revealed that he had nothing against Paul and his new label, but that it shouldn’t stop P-Square from making music again.

He wrote: “Hi guys. Thanks for the love and support, I so much appreciate everyone of you. For public record, I don’t have any issues with my brother Paul the only issue I have is with the management which I have disassociated myself with. There is a clear line between family and business, Jude still remains my brother, he is just no longer my manager.”

“For the record also, P’square still remains, the only difference is that we are under separate managements and there is nothing wrong with that. I see no wrong in doing separate projects and and still being together as P’square. I love my brother Paul, I support him and wish him the very best in life but misguiding the media is not the right thing to do, if we have issues as brothers, the right thing to do is settle it between ourselves and not give media something to feed on.”

“I took family issues to the public when I went on a Twitter rant but I apologised for that, you shouldn’t do the same, making me look like a bad person and giving the public an opportunity to crucify me is not a solution. You went solo first by releasing a song with ‘Tiwa’ and your new artists. This doesn’t stop us from producing good music together or giving our fans the best of P’square, it’s just time for personal development.”

Full Details of Ibinabo Fiberesima’s Five Year jail Sentence

 Actress and mother of three, Ibinabo Fiberesima has been slammed with a 5 year jail term for reckless and dangerous driving leading to one’s death.

 

The incident happened in 2005 when she vied off her lane on the Lekki-Epe Expressway in Lagos, and hit the car of a doctor, Giwa Suraj, who was a staff of Lagos State Hospital. Ibinabo was arrested for dangerous and reckless driving and charged her to court.
The case went to court and the Igbosere Magistrate Court sentenced her to five years in prison with an option of N100,000 fine. Ibinabo apologized to the man’s family and duly paid the fine.
The Lagos State Government, however, was not satisfied with the judgement and objected, taking the case to the High Court.
The High Court eventually ruled in favour of the government, saying that the Magistrate Court was reckless for giving Ibinabo an option of fine for such an offence. The High Court judge tossed out the fine option and sentenced Ibinabo to five years in prison, saying that such an offence – reckless and dangerous driving which causes another person’s death is liable to 7 years in prison.
Ibinabo’s N100,000 was subsequently given back to her.
She and her lawyers appealed the ruling in the Court of Appeal, to set aside the prison sentence and restore the sentence she received from the magistrate court. Unfortunately, the Court of Appeal ruled on March 11th that the court upheld the high court ruling and dismissed Ibinabo’s appeal, saying it lacked merit.
She and her lawyers are now heading to the Supreme Court for a final appeal. If the appeal fails, the Actors Guild of Nigeria president will have to serve her sentence.

Police rescue kidnapped BMJS students – Members of the Nigerian police have reportedly rescued three kidnapped female students of the Babington Macaulay Junior Seminary.

According to TV Continental, Lagos state Police Commissioner, Fatai Owoseni confirmed their freedom, saying that the girls were rescued around Igbokuta area of Ikorodu.

The three students:  Timilehin Olusa, Tofunmi Popoolaniyan and Deborah Akinayo, had been abducted on Monday night after gunmen had found their way into the school.
